Meet Fjordy, Fjord Line’s friendly lobster.
A custom mascot design may look like a fun costume, but there is one important difference:
a custom mascot design is made to be worn.
A mascot is made to represent a character.
And that changes how we develop it.
When we work on a mascot, we look beyond the first impression. Can the performer see properly? Is there enough ventilation? Can they move comfortably? Will the head keep its shape? Which parts will wear first? And can those parts be replaced instead of replacing the entire mascot?
These details matter because a mascot is usually not bought for one event. It may be used for years, by different performers, at events, on board, outdoors and in hundreds of photographs.
Our view on sustainability
Sustainability is often reduced to materials.
We think lifespan matters just as much.
A well-made mascot that can be maintained, cleaned, repaired and partly replaced has a much better chance of staying in use for years.
And that’s ultimately what quality should achieve:
not simply a better product on delivery day, but a product that is still doing its job years later.
After 25 years in custom manufacturing, that’s something we have become increasingly convinced of.
Buy less. Use it longer. Make it well.
